GLOBAL GAP
Our Favorita brand bananas are Global GAP certified.
GLOBAL GAP
In 1997, the Euro-Retailer Produce Working Group (EUREP) established Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) as a response to food safety, such as BSE and GMOs. GLOBAL GAP is becoming compulsory in wide parts of Europe.

A typical packing house
Standard: 4/5 hand, 13kg (28lbs) net
We pay special attention to the unique flavor of Ecuadorian bananas and do not send small 6-hand bunches to Japan. |

Cultivar: Cavendish, Variety: Williams
Among the superior-tasting bananas from Ecuador, it is said that the Williams variety has a high sugar content with a delightful tinge of sour. A characteristic of these bananas are the short necks (the stub between the finger and the stem) and the plump shape. All our Favorita Bananas are from the Williams variety.

We take extreme care on food safety, using Japanese market-specific working trays in our packing houses. Once in Japan, our bananas are inspected routinely to ensure topmost safety. |
